Day two of Brighton Fashion Week and so exited for the fashion show tonight! The networking event was fabulous last night meeting some of the most inspirational people including the young designer Isaac Raymond who is absolutely lovely.
There are a few designers that I literally can not wait to see their designs on the catwalk. One of them is Kitty Ferreira, now for most of you, you will know exactly who she is, if you don't well, she designs sustainable fashion, subject for all ages. She named the label Kitty Ferreira after her grandmother who grew vegetables and fruits in the Caribbean. The designer, Valerie Goode is very influential to me because she looked at fashion history, ethnic and family background for inspiration as well as starting from such a young age to get to where she is today, I look forward to seeing her collection live.
There is also the design label, Tiffany Pattinson, so I actually only found out about this label very recently. Looking at some of their designs and doing a bit of research they actually base there products on Wisteria, now if you are like myself and haven't seen Wisteria well we need to see it in real life and picture TP's products, they are Purple drooped flowers that are seen everywhere in Japanese gardens. This label aims to minimise the harm to the environment and they've done an incredible job doing this.
Last, but certainly not least, Isaac Raymond, a young and extremely inspirational 17 year old who should be very proud of what he has achieved at his age. He is the new Alexander McQueen, and if by any means you have not seen Raymond's work, go search right now, stop reading and click here to see his website, it is phenomenal. On the likely case that you have seen it you would agree with me that with Raymond keeps his fashion sustainable, elegant and dramatic and thats what makes him so unique, it takes a lot of talent to get all three added together. Just to mention again, he is only 17, take him as a style icon, notice that anyone can go far if you push towards your ambitions just like Isaac Raymond.
